It’s been a long time since I’ve written here. Life gets busy and I question the reason/benefit for recording my daily goings around. While it certainly is interesting for me to read through old posts – to revisit certain days in a flood of memories that these old posts bring back – I’m less certain of the benefit to others. And so I continue.
It’s been a crazy month, spread across 15 states. Last week was spent in Atlanta for company training. A lot of long days and a lot of learning and socializing, meeting colleagues new and old. Trees were greening nicely and spring was in full swing. Unlike Vermont a week earlier, where I was skiing in 20-degree weather.
For my “stay-cation” I visited friends in PA and NH, drove up the Maine shoreline and went skiing in Killington, VT. I spent a leisurely week, rambling around New England, checking out some brisk shorelines and wandering around old parts of Boston, Providence, and Kennebunkport.
This week it’s back to work again, and I feel quite refreshed having been out of the main flow of client work for two weeks.
It’s beautiful here. Last night it rained all night then today was bright and clear. Grass is green and the trees are coming alive with flowers and green leaves. DC is finally waking up. I missed the Cherry Blossom Festival proper but I’ve been out and about other places with fewer crowds and, in my opinion, better scenery.
